Last assignment prototype and test

  1. 1. LAST ASSIGNMENT: PROTOTYPE AND TEST By Paulina Humeres
  2. 2. FIRST DEFINITION How to increase students’s motivation with their career, that is influenced with the type of clinical activities they do, focused to complete clinical procedures, forgetting that the most important thing are patients
  3. 3. AFTER FEED BACK AND PEER EVALUATION
  4. 4. NEW DEFINITION OF THE PROBLEM: How to increase motivation of students at last year of Dental School, that feel their clinic work is without sense?
  5. 5. SOLUTIONS THAT I CHOSE AMONG THE 50th THAT I IDENTIFICATED AT THE LAST ASSIGNMENT (prototype of the first two) 1. Apply survey for patients to evaluate their satisfaction to student attention. 2. Make students participate in some clinical tasks, when their patient don't come, help at delivering dental material 3. Allow students to put at their clinic some personal thing that made them comfortable
  6. 6. This circles will be made with the same material of white board. Patients will write their messages with white board marker
  7. 7. Results: a) They said that the second option wasn’t a solution for their motivation problem. b) They liked the solution related with patients experience and they suggested that it would be good take pictures of the mural and upload at their social net to share with everybody patients’s opinions I ASKED SOME STUDENTS ABOUT THEIR OPINIONS FOR THE SOLUTIONS I HAVE DESIGNED
  8. 8. SO, AFTER THIS FEED BACK, I REORGANIZED MY OPTIONS, AND ASKED THEM ON OTHER SOLUTIONS THAT I HAD DEFINED AT MY MIND MAP 1. Play music at the clinic to make a friendly environment 2. Allow students to use at clinic tasks, some personal thing that could make them feel comfortable, and I suggested to design their own clinical hat. They loved both options!
  9. 9. So, finally, my prototypes are:
  10. 10. 1. Create a mural with the comments and suggestions of patients 2. Take a picture of this mural once a week 3. Upload the images at social net that students visit 1
  11. 11. Allow to use an original clinical hat, and put music to transform clinical environment more friendly This is how they look now 2
  12. 12. THE END Thank you
