We asked the following question:
In the last two years, how hard has it been for you to make new
platonic friends in the state in which you currently reside?
The question received responses from 2,151 random US adults. It ran
during August 2015.

OVERALL OBSERVATIONS
- It’s not easy to make new platonic friends.
- Women have it harder than men.
- More than 50% of people who have moved in the past 5 years find it
hard to make new friends.
- Some states are statistically easier to make friends in.

CONCLUSIONS
The Patook app is aimed at facilitating and kickstarting new platonic
friendships. There seems to be a significant market for such an app.
