We have an unfortunate tendency to be easy on ourselves, but harsh with others. In Galatians 6:1-10 Paul calls upon the Galatians to be gentle in restoring those who lapse into sin rather than treating them as bad fruit to be thrown out. He then applies Jesus’ Law of the Harvest: that, spiritually speaking, we reap what we sow. If we plant the seeds of fleshly or evil pursuits, we will reap what we have planted… EVIL. On the other hand, if we sow good spiritual seed, we will reap eternal life.
