  2. 2. What Happened? <ul><li>~ The British Council in Kabul, Afghanistan, got attacked on August, 19 th 2011 and at least ten people died. </li></ul>
  3. 3. How did it happen? <ul><li>~ A suicide bomber walked in the British Council and exploded the bomb that he was carrying </li></ul><ul><li>~ Later he was followed by 12 men with guns attacking the building. </li></ul><ul><li>http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c-odplEsZDk </li></ul>

What is the British Council? <ul><li>~ It introduces people who are interested in going to university in England. </li></ul><ul><li>~ They focus in four parts Education, English, Society and Arts </li></ul><ul><li>~ I have actually visited the British Council here in Manila and that is where most of the information came from. </li></ul>

  8. 8. Why were they attacked? <ul><li>There had been a long war going on with the Afghanistan citizens. This had been a act from the war. </li></ul>

Why did I pick this news? <ul><li>~ To me I already had an idea of what the British Council was since I went for classes at the Alliance Francais and I know what they do. </li></ul><ul><li>~ It has also been a shame because the British Council was actually helping girls get education and the right to freedom which before they were not allowed. </li></ul>
