Intro to Agriculture<br />Prerequisite: Fr./So.<br />Learn how the Ag Industry works!<br />The Ag Industry has economic influence<br />Job opportunities in Ag<br />Basic Agriculture knowledge<br />Set up your Supervised Agriculture Experience (SAE)<br />Beef Production, Vegetable Production, Veterinary Medicine, Chicken Management, Part Time Job with an Agricultural background. This can even be about you taking care of your dog!!<br />

  7. 7. Horticulture<br />Prerequisite: Jr./Sr. & Intro to Ag<br />Instruction in landscaping and floriculture<br />Landscape design and installation<br />Improve computer and workspace skills<br />Work in the Greenhouse with Mrs. Parr<br />Help with the annual plant sale<br />
  8. 8. Veterinary Technology<br />Prerequisite: Jr./Sr. & Biology I<br />Develop understanding of companion animals<br />Career understanding of vet and lab jobs<br />Five hours of service at clinic or shelter<br />
  9. 9. Agribusiness Management (AGB 135)<br />Prerequisite: 3.0 GPA & Complete Dual Credit Form<br />Manage personal finance<br />Develop successful business skills<br />Develop employability skills<br />

FFA<br />Largest student organization in US<br />Open to all agriculture students<br />Lots of Activities: CDEs, SAEs, Camp/ Conventions/Conferences, Chapter Activities, and Section Activities, Chorus and Band on State and National Levels, friends from across the Nation, plenty of inside jokes<br />CDEs are called Career Development Events and include areas such as Livestock Evaluation, Agronomy, Land Judging, Parli Pro, Public Speaking, and Dairy Foods Evaluation<br />
  11. 11. FFA cont.<br />There are lots of fun Camps etc. every year!<br />Fun activities at Chapter and Section level such as: Parties, Workshops, Banquets, Bowling, and Fairs<br />TO BE A MEMBER YOU MUST BE ENROLLED IN AN AG CLASS!!<br />
