Youth 6th-12th grade...plan to attend a pool party this afternoon at the Riemersma’s home. Meet at their house, 10925 Mason Street in Holland at 4:00 p.m. Dinner will be provided. PLEASE PRAY FOR: t healing for Paul and Melva Russcher who were in a serious car accident last week. Melva broke her ankle in 3 places and Paul has a cracked sternum and a bruised heart; t healing for Beth deVries’s dad, Dr. Fredrick deVries, who has been re-admitted to the hospital following his bypass surgery with a partial collapse of the lungs; t healing and wisdom for the doctors treating Vonnie Bazans’ husband, Terry, who was in the hospital for several days with many serious health concerns; t peace for Lyle VanderHaar prior to his knee replacement surgery tomorrow at Holland Hospital and for successful surgery; t Larry Pete who was diagnosed with tongue cancer and will having two surgeries on August 8, one to remove cancer from his tongue and another to check on his lymph nodes so doctors can determine a treatment plan; t continued healing for Tom Foulkes who is now home following his extensive back surgery; t Rosie Boeve’s granddaughter, Tatianna Robertson, whose brain cancer has returned; t good results from a biopsy that Sally Schmelter had recently; t continued healing for Gwen Lawton and Sue Spykerman following their knee replacements; t a total recovery for Neva Mokma who is recovering at home; t our homebound including: Paul & Donna Beyer and Al & Ginny Tennant; t our Prayer Families of the week: Rod & Sharon Cranson, Todd, Michelle, Jordan, Tobin & Makynna Crook, Jaime, Isabella, Nadia & India Cuevas, Mary Dalman, and Rex, Pam, Kari & Kelly De Boer; t our GGF sister church: Celebration Bible Church in Grandville, Pastor Jim Shemaria; t our missionaries Kennedy & Sofia Simtowe, serving with Grace Ministries International in Mozambique. Praise the Lord for a great turnout at Kids Camp with an average attendance of 96 daily and 112 registered. Many children accepted Jesus as their Lord and Savior!
  2. SUPER SENIORS Due to vacations and Kids Camp, Super Seniors will not be meeting during the month of August. We will return to our regular summer schedule (Wednesdays at 10:30 a.m.) on September 4th. The Pastors will be continuing their study of the people who knew Jesus - disciples, friends, and family members of our Lord. Put the date on your calendar and plan to attend, followed by lunch at a local restaurant. “UNCHAINED” - YOUNG ADULT/COLLEGE AGE GROUP During August, this group will be meeting once for a special event. More information coming soon! In the fall, the regular schedule of the 2nd and 4th Fridays each month will resume. Meet at Brann’s Steakhouse at 5:30 p.m. (Dutch treat) then plan to come back to the church for simple card and board games and treats. This is a great way to get to know other women of the church! Sign up at the Women’s Ministry Counter. WOMEN’S BIBLE STUDY Parkside’s Women’s Bible Study will begin on September 5 and will meet on Thursday evenings from 6:30-8:00 p.m. Sept. 5-Nov. 21 and Feb. 6- May 7. Romans 5:12 - Because our mutual grandfather, Adam, sinned, we now sin too. Romans 3:23 - We need to realize that all are sinners, including ourselves. Romans 10:9 - We must trust in Jesus Christ as the One who died in our place, paying the punishment for our sin on the cross; resurrected in victory over death. Ephesians 2:8-9 - For by grace are you saved through faith and not of yourselves. It is a gift from God, not of works, lest any man should boast.
