Please sign up at the youth counter to attend and to bring an item for the potluck. It’s going to be a great time! “Symphony” (I Lift My Hands) with Louie Giglio It’s staggering when we begin to realize that all creation is singing the praises of the One who fashioned and formed the Universe. Yet, singing stars and earth’s ovation cannot drown God’s desire to hear your voice. In the midst of a miraculous and immense symphony of praise, God is still mindful of you, going to extraordinary lengths to give you life and breath through His Son. Dr. Seuss’s film “Horton Hears A Who” Horton, an elephant with sensitive hearing, comes to the rescue of the microscopic “Who’s” who live in a world so small that it fits in a speck of dust. If you don’t have but would like 2014 offering envelopes, please call the church office or talk to Judy. A new church directory will be published in January. Please review the old directory sheets on the tables in the Fellowship Hall and verify the information. Make any corrections. If none are needed, just initial your entry. If you are interested in a new picture, please sign up for one on the sheet on the directory table. If you’re new to Parkside but attending regularly, we would love to take your picture and include you in our next directory! Please provide your information on the sheet on the table. Questions...see, call or email Judy. (399-4410, parksidejudy@sbcglobal.net)
  5. 5. CHURCH NEW: “Grace” - DVD study with Max Lucado (Meeting in the Board Room) Max Lucado asks: Have you been changed by grace? Shaped by grace? Strengthened by grace? Emboldened by grace? Softened by grace? Snatched by the nape of your neck and shaken to your senses by grace? Grace is the voice that calls us to change and then gives us the power to pull it off. Let’s make certain grace gets you. Attend this Sunday School class and learn about Grace! Continued: The Gospel of John (Meeting in the middle adult room) This mixed adult class continues the Bible exposition of the Gospel of John and will include class discussions led by various Parkside teachers as we seek to grow in our faith and the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ, revealed in Scripture so that we may have life in His name. NEW: Luke: Finding Truth & Healing in Jesus’ Words to Women (Meeting in the new adult classroom) Jesus often showed women acceptance, compassion, and understanding. In each lesson of this insightful study of Luke, we will focus on a conversation between Jesus and a woman, showing how he helped free them of their negative feelings and destructive behaviors---and encouraged them to embrace healthy attitudes and positive actions. You will have your own encounter with Jesus and learn how truly valuable you are to him. TREASURER A. J. Van Kampen will be taking over as church treasurer effective today. A huge thank you goes to Doug Poynter who has served as treasurer for the past two years! If you have financial questions or concerns, A. The Parkside Runners/Walkers meet downtown Holland in front of the Knickerbocker Theater on 8th Street at 6:00 p.m. every Tuesday. Join them as they run downtown on the snow -melt system on 8th Street and enjoy some warmth at JP’s coffee after the run/walk. Questions...Contact Tony Van Houten at 616-218-0205.
