Recruitment of right person on the board of a company is indispensable for success of the organization. • Human resources solution providers consist of dedicated team of experts which provides its clients with workforce solutions like hiring right candidate (temporary and permanent nature) to streamline the human resource processes at the clients end.

HR in India • Starting from independence until the mid 70s was purely transactional and focused on industrial relations. • From the 70s, the focus shifted to personnel management and this continued until the early 90s. • HR, as a function, evolved post liberalization era when global business standards were introduced and the competition for talent intensified. • The HR buyer began to look keenly into recruitment services to gain access to a larger pool of quality talent. • There are three markets of HR buyers in India • Multinational corporations with access to global markets • Homegrown owner-promoted companies • SME and small companies.

HR TECHNOLOGY • HR technology was the late entrant in the technology space in India. While other enterprise technology platforms have seen a great deal of evolution, the HR technology space is far behind other technology sectors in terms of maturity. HR technology developed in the West in three phases or layers. • Automation of administrative tasks • Management of the talent lifecycle within the organization • Integrated solutions OUTSOURCING SERVICES • These services typically cover the complete breadth of the employment lifecycle and include services such as candidate assessments, payroll and benefits, RPO, training process outsourcing (TPO), engagement, performance management, and exit and outplacement services.

The investment in these sectors attracted various construction and engineering companies to explore the business opportunities and contribute their expertise in these sectors. Domain experts were required who could provide their core skill and competence in designing and building the core industry, dams, roads, buildings etc. Over the years, as the Indian industry started maturing, the Indian consulting industry also started expanding, not only in terms of size, but also in terms of the service offerings.
