Adjectives <ul><li>An adjective is a word used to describe a noun or pronoun or to give a noun or pronoun a more specific meaning. </li></ul><ul><li>Adjectives answer the following questions: </li></ul><ul><li>What kind? </li></ul><ul><li>Which one? </li></ul><ul><li>How Many? </li></ul><ul><li>How Much? </li></ul>

Adjective Articles <ul><li>Three adjectives - the, a, and an – are called articles. </li></ul><ul><li>The is the definite article, because it tells about a certain person place or thing. </li></ul><ul><li>A and an are called indefinite articles because they refer to any person, place, or thing. </li></ul>

ADVERBS <ul><li>An adverb is a word that modifies the verb, an adjective, or another adverb. </li></ul><ul><li>An adverb modifying a verb answers the questions: </li></ul><ul><li>Where? </li></ul><ul><li>When? </li></ul><ul><li>In what way? </li></ul><ul><li>How? </li></ul><ul><li>And to what extent? </li></ul>
