Conclusions and further work (1) • Pagus is a software tool for assessing the visual impact of a transport infrastructure (roads, highways, railways, ...). • Pagus integrates geographic (GIS-based) and visual (images) information. • Integrating cutting edge open technologies, Pagus is modular, agile and user friendly. • Pagus visual analysis connects with visual characteristics which are easy to evaluate by non-expert users. 17th IRF World Meeting & Exhibition Riyadh, November 10 - 14, 2013

Conclusions and further work (2) • The future of this pioneering project depends on consolidating its implantation in consulting companies, integrating it in the current analysis methodology and assessment and extending its use in a regional, national and international framework. • Likewise, the tool needs new funding resources to allow a second phase where many analysis tasks can be automated using computer vision and artificial intelligence, this way improving its performance and facilitating even more the assessment process. 17th IRF World Meeting & Exhibition Riyadh, November 10 - 14, 2013
