PROJECTS GOALS:Development of the national action plan on ESDand National strategy on ESDReview of the existing state standards with anaim of integrating ideas and principles of SDand ESD into the system of education in all levels(formal, non-formal and informal)Reorientation of the existing educationalprograms on ESD

  10. 10. PROJECT GOALS:Supply of access to educational materials forteachers through adaptation and introductionthe informational packs on ozone layerprotection into the system of education in KRExchange and distribution of good practices

Tasks for future:Development of the system of assessment /improvementof the quality of ESD including the criteria for ESDRevision of the Concept of the persistent ecologicaleducation in KR to include ESD issuesCarrying out of the scientific research in the sphere ofESDParticipation in programs of experience exchange andstrengthening the cooperation in the sphere of ESD withother regions and countriesIntroduction of ESD into primary and secondaryschoolsSupport of practical activities at school campusSupport of establishment of ecoschools andecocenters

Strategy of UNECE on ESD is translated into state language and is placed on the following web-site: www.unece.org/env/esd/strategytext/strategyKyrgyz.pdf The multimedia resource “Green Pack” is prepared in sphere of school supply with educational resources which was developed by Regional ecological center of the Central-Eastern Europe, as well as the manual “Precepts of Manas” , “Collection of legends” were published. Good practices on ESD were prepared and placed on web-site in Russian, English and French languages: http://www.unece.org/env/esd/GoodPractices/list.html April 2008 - the Fourth meeting of the Steering committee on ESD – the representative of Kyrgyz Republic was elected Vice-Chair of the Steering Committee of the UNECE on ESDApril 2011 , Geneva, Nation Palace The sixth meeting of the Steering Committee of the UNECE on ESD - the authorities of the KR representative were prolonged by the decision of countries-members of UNECE, highly appreciating contribution of KR into the implementation of ESD.
