To make pinning even easier for users and to easily monitor how many people have pinned an image, add the “pin it” button to your site. People are able to easily pin the image and add it to one of their boards
Many brands have started using Pinterest as a platform to conduct market research or test product launches. In recent days one creative suggestion was to use Pinterest as sort of social online focus group to see first reactions
You can create boards highlighting coupons that you are offering to customers and you can drive the user back to the site where you are featuring the coupon to increase traffic and bring people to your site.
You can add prices to your pins to create your own Pinterest shop. To add a price to a pin, type the $ or £ symbol followed by the item’s price in the pin’s description. GE also has an “Archive” board that gives a visual history of the company’s products through the years.
I particularly love the behind-the-scenes board devoted just to Peapod's delivery trucks. is a great way to give customers an inside look into a business that, on the outside, may not seem so glamorous. get creative about showing off your brand in an interesting and unique way. You can do this by showcasing some behind-the-scenes content that shows the people behind your brand, injecting some personality into your business and make it easy to relate to.
Pinterest can also help with customer service. If you see that someone has pinned one of your products to a board that is negative such as “bad products” or “products I don’t like” you can reach out to that user or use it as marketing research if you are noticing a trend across a specific product.
Create a testimonials board to highlight the success of your business. Highlight positive feedback you get, and put it into a blog, then pin it to a board to show the success of you company.

Pinterest is slowly building an impact over external search results that you’re competing for on google.It’s an excellent solution for brands. Though Pinterest made the referred link and the image links, NoFollow, There are a few places on Pinterest where links are still followed. One of them being within the description of a pin, with the caveat being that the anchor text is the rootdomain.

Do you have a Blog site? Insert the “follow me on pinterest” button in a widget in your WordPress sidebar by using a Pinterest widget. Simply choose the image you would like, select the HTML code to embed and copy and paste the code on your site where you would like it to appear.

In this example, I pinned a firepit from Target to my board “products I love”. If you click on the image, it leads you right back to targets page where I pinned it from.
