  1. 1. SOCIAL BOOKMARKING with http://www.diigo.com<br />You can research, annotate, archive, organize, highlight, and add sticky notes. You can share your bookmarks with others. What are the implications for teaching and learning? Tagging information resources with keywords has the potential to change how we store and find information. It is also easier to use a framework created by peers and colleagues = collaborative researching!<br /><ul><li>Sign up - email – install toolbar – profile – privacy settings.
  2. 2. In Google Chrome – install Diigo extension
  3. 3. With Internet Explorer – visible Favorites Bar, install Diigolet and click “Add to Favorites”
  4. 4. Tools
  5. 5. See toolbar in action – bookmark, highlight and sticky note
  6. 6. Share – send a bookmark to someone
  7. 7. Friends - find people
  8. 8. Groups - create a group, search for different ones to add
  9. 9. Your class is working on a particular topic: Science 7 Planet Earth, Social Studies 9 Issues for Canadians: Governance and Rights, why not have an online bookmark group associated with these topics to add current information/research to your class activities and discussions?
  10. 10. Be a part of a Professional learning group who are gathering bookmarks on a particular topic of interest like Literacy, Numeracy, Reading, Technology Integration, Smartboards, etc. It’s great to have other people who are bookmarking to this topic as well.
  11. 11. Tag – click on a tag – view popular – can also click on number to reveal who else tagged it.
