  35. 35. Oracle IoT Fleet Monitoring Cloud Oracle IoT Fleet Monitoring Cloud provides real-time transportation visibility for modern supply chains. Key Features: • Real-time shipment location updates, arrival and departure notifications • Pre-built workflow with Oracle Transportation Management (OTM) auto- imports shipments once they are planned in OTM • Track shipments on private fleets and/or for-hire carriers • Shipment condition monitoring using IoT devices to prevent damage during transportation

Once shipment planning is complete it is automatically synchronized with Oracle IoT Fleet Monitoring Cloud. Power units and drivers assigned using OTM Fleet Management are also automatically synchronized in Oracle IoT Fleet Monitoring Cloud.
  37. 37. Oracle IoT Fleet Monitoring Cloud Shipment tracking starts as soon as assigned truck leaves origin geo-fence. Tracking of a shipment starts automatically based on shipment location, driver input or alert from vehicle. Shipment ETA is computed at frequent intervals to detect delays or other shipment risks. For IoT-enabled fleets, tracking includes shipment condition monitoring.
  38. 38. Oracle IoT Fleet Monitoring Cloud Shipment tracking is automated using geo-fences that are auto-constructed from shipment data. Oracle IoT Fleet Monitoring Cloud extracts location data for the origin, stops and route from the shipment planned in OTM, and auto- constructs geo-fences. Stop geo-fences can be used to detect when a shipment arrives at a location, leaves a location and dwell time. Route geo-fences can auto- detect deviations from planned route

Oracle IoT Fleet Monitoring Cloud Telematics in transportation industry is highly fragmented and region specific, and hence Oracle IoT Fleet Monitoring Cloud supports multiple options to enable fetching location data for shipments. Options can be combined to get a richer dataset that can be used for location tracking as well as condition monitoring of shipments. We have a strong partner ecosystem that can provide appropriate devices based on the use case.

Oracle IoT Fleet Monitoring Cloud Fleet administrators can define rules for fault detection and other shipment risks to auto-generate incidents and send notifications via SMS to drivers or other relevant personnel. Customers can get automatically notified via SMS when a shipment is delayed for longer than a certain threshold. Fleet administrators can set rules to detect excessive speeding, fuel usage and idle times to keep track of driving behavior.
  41. 41. Oracle IoT Fleet Monitoring Cloud Creating new metrics is very simple using the visual metrics editor. Fleet administrators can select how frequently they would like a metric to be computed. They may use the easy-to- use metric formula editor to construct a metric that will be automatically computed and tracked by Oracle IoT Fleet Monitoring Cloud. Fleet administrators may create rules that are based on values of the metrics.
