Stuff to Consider
Yikes!!! there is way too much stuff
A lot of the stuff may be useful
The right stuff can be very exciting for
you and the kids
Finding the right stuff can be time
Adapting resources/ideas is the trick!!!
Kids/Teachers need certain computer
and literacy skills
Interactive sites have certain technical
requirements (plug-ins, sound cards, etc.)
Web Sites are Volatile
“Here Today, Gone Tomorrow”
Warmup: Later we’ll talk about finding
stuff .. but .. just for kicks - 2 minutes
1. a website on Japan
2. that has content suitable for 3rd gr.
3. that has lesson plans or teacher resources

1) Look at types of sites are out there - a few
2) Tricks to finding them - a short, brief, mini,
tiny, search lesson using Google
3) For Desert … Nearly 100 Teacher Resources
& Sites I Found For your Regions Units
(and I just scratched the surface)
