  2. 2. What is a SSRI?SSRIs are Living Labsthat meet certainconditions as spacesfor innovation:Five pillars have tobe involved.
  3. 3. SSRIsThe involvement of the five pillars arereflected in criteria from several categoriesthat must be met for being a SSRI.Categories:Organization – Resources – Involvement ofusers – Added Value
  4. 4. MethodologyThe methodology for the creation and evaluationof SSRI was defined in the Spanish R&D projectCISVI (Research Communities for Health andIndependent Life)During CISVI execution the first four SSRIshave been created.
  5. 5. SSRI’s ConferencesSo far, three Spanish conferences have beenorganized.Zaragoza 2008 – Málaga 2009 – Madrid 2010 Several European and Spanish figures related to open innovation methodologies have participated.

SSRI NetworkThe network is coordinated by SSRILab WorkGroupin the Spanish Technological Platform eVIAEvery year, at the Spanish Conferences on SSRIsan official recognition is provided to those SSRIssuccessfully evaluated.So far, 24 SSRIs have been recognized alongthe Spanish territoryTerritorial Health and Cohesion andCohesion Independent Life social welfare 17 4 3

  8. 8. European projectsThe SSRI’s methodology has been followed so farby:PEOPLE (Pilot Smart Urban Ecosystems leveraging openinnovation for promoting and enabling e-services). CIP-ICT-PSP-2009-4MedLab (Mediterranean Living Lab for Territorial Innovation).Co-funded by MED Programme.C@R (Collaboration at Rural). 6th Framework Programme. Priority2: Information Society Technologies.Several projects using this methodology have beensubmitted to FP7-ICT-2011-7 Call
