When you join the audio conference the Volume Control window will appear to allow you to adjust speaker and microphone levels ( a volume control may also be attached to your headset/speakers or attached device) You can mute yourself by clicking in the “Mute” box You can also “Mute” yourself by: highlighting your name under the participant’s panel (right of screen) and selecting the “Mute” button below
10. If there are green vibrations around your headset when you are speaking your voice is being heard and sent through WebEx If your headset remains still when you are speaking ... No one can hear you. You will need to check your connection and configure your audio (next slide)
12. If you have joined an audio session (there is a headset next to your name) but you cannot hear or others cannot hear you... 1 Go to the control panel (top left) select Audio and “Join Audio Conference” 2 Select “Leave Audio Conference” 3 Select “Yes”
14. 4 Return to the control panel (top left) select “Audio” and “Audio Setup Wizard” 5 This will open the Setup Wizard. You will go through each step to make sure your audio is connected. To begin select “Next”
16. 6 The next window will ask you to select your “Preferred recording/playback device.” Use the scroll down arrows and select the device you are using (such as USB headset or computer speakers) Then select “Next”
18. 7 You will be prompted to test your audio output (speakers/ headset) and input (microphone) by recording. To test the output press then next. To test the input press and speak. The screen will show bright green bars when it recognizes your voice. Press to hear if the recording worked. You will hear your own voice if you did. If you cannot hear the trial voice, or your own recording, check your devices – they may not be connected properly to your computer.
