The late philosophy professor Dallas Willard stated, "You only understand the gospel of the Kingdom of God if there is no limit to whom you can go and say, 'Blessed'." Can that actually apply to someone who does not treat us well? Even an enemy?
The CQ = “Conversation Questions” you can use
for your thoughtful inner dialogue, with a friend or
a cadre of people (if you happen upon a cadre.)
Try popping one of the questions at the dinner table,
while waiting for the movie to start, on the trip to
grandmother’s house, in line at the Department of
Motor Vehicles (that’s going to be a while)…

Caution to the wind…
We are warned to not talk about religion & politics.
Why not call this talking about living a good life?
Each of The CQ have a text from a wise guy who is
considered by millions of people for 2000 years as
history’s greatest teacher and most influential
human. His words prompt each trio of questions.
Hopefully these questions will engage a worthwhile
chat with someone you respect enough to ask. In The
CQ you won’t find preaching, judging, right or wrong
answers. Just ?’s.

A few suggestions…
~ Listen, really listen. We derail discussions about things
we care about because we care more about what we care about
than what others care about. Choose carefully to be careless
about the right things.
~ Ditch being the referee, judge, counselor or den mother.
Engage a conversation instead of engaging a battle.
~ Seek a path of wisdom. It is said wisdom is proven by her
fruit. See what the tree bears before you break out the axe.
~ Don’t fear the unknown. Invite others on the journey.

The CQ
CQ1. What level of anger, mine or others, reveals
places of persecution, insult, falsehood, criticism?
CQ2. What level of my anxiety by night reveals my
places lacking peace?
CQ3. What does Jesus offer by trusting the
Kingdom of Heaven as a child of the King to bring
me peace and bless me in any state?
