The CQ 004 - Blessing the Last, Least, Lost

  1. 1. The CQ “Blessing the Last, Least, Lost” #004 (1.5.5) Friday, February 19, 16
  2. 2. The CQ = “Conversation Questions” you can use for your thoughtful inner dialogue, with a friend or a cadre of people (if you happen upon a cadre.) Try popping one of the questions at the dinner table, while waiting for the movie to start, on the trip to grandmother’s house, in line at the Department of Motor Vehicles (that’s going to be a while)… {If you’re a repeat CQ’er, jump to page 5} Friday, February 19, 16
  3. 3. Caution to the wind… We are warned to not talk about religion & politics. Why not call this talking about living a good life? Each of The CQ have a text from a wise guy who is considered by millions of people for 2000 years as history’s greatest teacher and most influential human. His words prompt each trio of questions. Hopefully these questions will engage a worthwhile chat with someone you respect enough to ask. In The CQ you won’t find preaching, judging, right or wrong answers. Just ?’s. Friday, February 19, 16
  4. 4. A few suggestions… ~ Listen, really listen. We derail discussions about things we care about because we care more about what we care about than what others care about. Choose carefully to be careless about the right things. ~ Ditch being the referee, judge, counselor or den mother. Engage a conversation instead of engaging a battle. ~ Seek a path of wisdom. It is said wisdom is proven by her fruit. See what the tree bears before you break out the axe. ~ Don’t fear the unknown. Invite others on the journey. {If you’re a repeat CQ’er, jump to page 5} Friday, February 19, 16
  5. 5. A Thoughtful Prompter… “Blessed are the meek for they will inherit the Earth." Matthew 5:5 #004 (1.5.5)   Friday, February 19, 16
  6. 6. The CQ CQ1. How would I feel if I was called meek? Why?   CQ2. Why did Jesus describe Himself as "meek" and how does it connect with this Beatitude? (See Matthew 11:29)   CQ3. What does it mean to me that Jesus wants to give me the world? #004 (1.5.5) Friday, February 19, 16
  7. 7. The CQ percolate from JESUS COLLEGE. Obviously by the “Caution to the wind”, the Prompter and the line of questions, we think what Jesus considers the good life is a good life. We trust you feel welcomed on the journey with us. We need your help with the answers. ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ JESUS COLLEGE exists to equip Trainers to mentor Leaders to disciple Apprentices to Master love through “eyes to see” & “ears to hear” resources & relationships. @ONEAFTERJESUS JESUSCOLLEGE.com Friday, February 19, 16
