My magazine uses the basic conventions such as the placing of the masthead, main image, main feature, smaller features, barcode etc.The challengers are the colour scheme as there very seasonal autumn colours, not many magazines I've seen have used browns, peaches colours.
I had inspirations from the magazine Q for my contents page. I have the traditional conventions such as headings, features, images.Having a short introduction to a story challenged the basic conventions of a contents as they usually just have a singular quote if any information but whats going to be on that page.
Conventions such as; linking the feature with the main feature on the front cover, main images, headings, Q & A.Highlighted a quote from the text by enlarging it and also in a different colour, making it stand out. The colour of the images fit in with the colour scheme
You can connect to different social groups in various ways, linking with there age group, gender and intrests.
The type of model i used was the type of audience i was attracting, this helps as the model then becomes a role model to the audience reading. A young 17 year old girl who i portrayed as a the newest upcoming artist.
Using various conventions, techniques to add to my magazine fitting the audience genre. My target audience was a younger generation so by using a younger model, younger stories, bubble writing, posters.
Frontline is a huge business who distributes various amounts of magazines all over the world, so this would be a good partner to work with to get my magazine out to as many shops as possible. Bauer media group are partners with Frontline who are a huge family business who own a large amount of magazines.
My target audience are young quirky stylish females, as there the artirtsive tried to put on my magazine, i had inspirations of artists such as artists as lily allen, Katy Perry or an older female popstar pink.
By doing a questionnaire, it helped focus on a certain target audience. Putting it on a pie chart helped me narrow my options down. Then also doing a focus group helped to get even more personal ideas.
I targetted my audience by using fonts, bands, buzz words that fits the type of audience, girly, fashionable, quirky.
