Changes from 2014  6 months basic training and 2 references to join College  Primary still multiple options….may change  12 months medicine  6 months acute/ED  6 months with longitudinal care  4 long cases  3.5 years ICU  6 months basic  2 years advanced  1 year transition  Post CICM fellowship and focus on transition to Specialist
  4. 4.  Paediatrics  6 months PICU/12 months in mixed unit/APLS  3 months rural time  Work based competencies  Including online packages at different stages  ECHO course + 50 studies  Adequate exposure to neuro/cardiac/trauma  Mandatory courses including BASIC/ADAPT/Communication/ECHO/Difficult airway/Consultant transition
