    3. 3. <ul><li>Ranging from mid 20's to mid 40's; </li></ul><ul><li>Diverse backgrounds, countries, cultures; </li></ul><ul><li>Working in a wide range of industries & fields; </li></ul><ul><li>Once connected to oikos through various activities; </li></ul><ul><li>And: </li></ul><ul><li>They travel extensively! </li></ul><ul><li>All have a heart for sustainability! </li></ul>Alumni: who are they?
    4. 4. <ul><li>They're people who: </li></ul><ul><li>Always want to learn more; </li></ul><ul><li>Take opportunities in life; </li></ul><ul><li>Progress in work and private spheres; </li></ul><ul><li>Like to get inspired. </li></ul><ul><li>Just like you! </li></ul><ul><li>And you know what? </li></ul>Alumni: Most of all…

    6. 6. <ul><li>… of where you want to be in a few years: </li></ul><ul><li>a consultant? </li></ul><ul><li>a professor? </li></ul><ul><li>an entrepreneur? </li></ul><ul><li>a cool human being living a green lifestyle? </li></ul>Just think….
    7. 7. <ul><li>The question is: </li></ul><ul><li>How can oikos help you in reaching that goal? </li></ul><ul><li>Not only now, </li></ul><ul><li>when you're a student </li></ul><ul><li>But also in a few years, </li></ul><ul><li>when you're an alumni! </li></ul>You & oikos: 4ever?
    8. 8. <ul><li>They have: </li></ul><ul><li>Knowledge on oikos & sustainability (brainraising); </li></ul><ul><li>A network that could be of interest (friendraising); </li></ul><ul><li>Financial resources (fundraising). </li></ul>Alumni: Why (re)connecting?
    9. 9. <ul><li>We offer: </li></ul><ul><li>Networking opportunities; </li></ul><ul><li>Connection to oikees' fresh ideas & energy; </li></ul><ul><li>Staying up to date with content through oikos academic network. </li></ul>Alumni: Why (re)connecting?
    10. 10. <ul><li>Fostering interaction between all oikos alumni and between alumni and oikees; enhancing possibilities for networking, knowledge sharing and fundraising; </li></ul><ul><li>Creating a life-long learning cycle for alumni and oikees (that will become alumni in the future): offering possibilities for personal development and growth; </li></ul><ul><li>Raising awareness of the importance of an alumni network within oikos: integrating alumni work in LC management. </li></ul>Objectives
    11. 11. <ul><li>Promotion around registering on the oikos website and using the site to connect to each other; </li></ul><ul><li>Creation of online networking groups (LinkedIn, Xing, Facebook) where alumni can connect with oikees and each other and promotion around connecting in these groups; </li></ul><ul><li>Creation of a database of key alumni who take the lead in connecting to the LC, who develop alumni initiatives in their city and who report back to the alumni coordinator; </li></ul><ul><li>Stimulating and supporting the organization of local alumni activities (where alumni can connect with oikees) in a growing amount of cities (from 10 in 2009 to 20 in 2011) reaching a total of 400 alumni by 2011. </li></ul>Objective 1: Fostering interaction
    12. 12. <ul><li>Offering coaching and mentoring tools for alumni to stimulate their development as sustainability professionals; </li></ul><ul><li>Organization of a bi-annual international alumni event with an attractive program and the possibility to meet oikees (target 50 alumni); </li></ul><ul><li>Establishing the oikos alumni day; </li></ul><ul><li>Development of an oikos alumni newsletter in 2010 to be send out twice a year; </li></ul><ul><li>Installation of an oikos alumni board in 2010 that will be responsible for the design and implementation of alumni activities from 2012-2014. </li></ul>Objective 2: Create a learning cycle
    13. 13. <ul><li>Integrating alumni news in the oikos newsletter; </li></ul><ul><li>'Life-long learning with oikos' will be part of the Spring & Autumn Meetings; </li></ul><ul><li>PhD Fellows will combine their travels with each two coaching sessions at LC's in which alumni work will be integrated. </li></ul>Objective 3: Raising awareness
    14. 14. What we have reached so far…. <ul><li>Alumni meetings in 4 cities: </li></ul><ul><li>Bringing together 4-25 alumni; </li></ul><ul><li>Attendance of oikees in 2 meetings; </li></ul><ul><li>Plans for next meetings. </li></ul>
    15. 15. <ul><li>Online connecting tools: </li></ul><ul><li>oikos website (registered alumni 62); </li></ul><ul><li>Xing group open to oikees (45); </li></ul><ul><li>LinkedIn group open to oikees (35); </li></ul><ul><li>Facebook group for alumni only (27). </li></ul>What we have reached so far….
