    2. 2. 2012-2013 Ohio YAB Strategic PlanAdvocacy Area VisionEducation Expand advocacy to include middle/high school as well as college Ask ODJFS Mentoring Program re: special emphasis on educationWorkforce Connect current/former foster youth with employment opp’s MCWIC Rule Review re: Agency PoliciesFinance/Resources Establish Independent Living Clearinghouse with hands-on activities that are likely to engage and prepare youth Promote use of existing resources (TANF-IL, YAB, WIA, IDA’s)Housing Follow-up on Housing Partnership Forum  Implementation Promote partnerships; communicate re: Best PracticesLegislation Opportunities to advocate include sibling visitation (Sen. Kearney)Youth Voice in Court Allies: Ohio Supreme Court, Ohio CASA, and Ohio Bar AssociationYAB Development Regional outreach to train youth and adults Seek partnering organizations to assist in ongoing development
