Its operation is based on coal and petrocoque (50/20). ENCASUR: ‘ Emma’, open-cut coal mine. ‘Another way of mining’. Enel VIESGO: Puertollano coal-fired power station. 220 Mw power.

  14. 15. Institute for Concentration Photovoltaic Systems It is incorporated in the group of companies of the ‘Institute of Finance of the Regional Government Castilla-La Mancha’. ISFOC is the result of the R&D plan promoted by the Department of Education and Science of the Government of Castilla-La Mancha and the Institute of Solar Energy of the ‘Technical University of Madrid’. The project is financed by the Ministry of Education and Science of the Government of Spain. ISFOC main aim is to encourage the worldwide development of Concentration Photovoltaic Technology in Castilla-La Mancha. Current area of the ISFOC. August ,2008.

  16. 17. Iberdrola Thermosolar Plant in Puertollano. Iberdrola, together with the Spanish Institute for Energy Diversification and Saving (IDAE), is building a 50 MW thermosolar plant. The building works started the 19 th of March, 2007 and it is expected to be finished and to start its production at the end of 2008. . Presentation of the project. May, 2007
  17. 18. Monosilicon Wafers Plant. Silicio Solar is the first monosilicon wafers plant in Spain. This means the creation of more than 500 job positions. The investment is over € 60,000,000.   18. 19. <ul><li>Solaria </li></ul><ul><li>Photovoltaic Panels Factory that produces: </li></ul><ul><li>5’’ Cells: come in power ratings from 165 w/183 w. </li></ul><ul><li>6’’ Cells: come in power ratings from 215 w – 245 w. Thermal Panels. </li></ul>Renovalia, in an area of 97 Ha., will use more than 240,800 solar panels and it will generate a rate power of 47,6 MWn. This is a clean energy, 100% renewable, which will prevent the release of 1,029,546 tons of CO 2 during the 25 years that the production will last.
  19. 20. Leading company in design and innovation in Solar Concentration Photovoltaic Energy Systems. SolFocus is working on the launch of a R&D Centre of Solar High Technology. It will imply 60 job positions and an important investment. .
  20. 21. Waste to Energy Technologies: Design of the latest energetic solutions for the treatment of biomass or industrial waste with a higher heating value (HHV). Proener: Company dedicated to make projects and installations of Photovoltaic Solar Plants. Solgreen: Company that suggests and offers full solutions about Solar Systems development. Solgreen guarantees the quality of the technology and innovation. Puertollano Química Verde: It is dedicated to the BIODIESEL production. It has an annual production of 24,000. Bioenergética Española: Industrial Plant that produces 250,000 tons /year of biodiesel.
