We live in a world dominated by digital. It's all around us. And it's the way that we all want to interact with one another, and with public services.

That's why O2 have launched the Local Government Digital Fund, with up to £250k up for grabs for local authorities that put forward the best ideas for digital engagement.

The Local Government Digital Fund Inspiration: Get closer to citizens and communities through innovative use of digital technology Improve workforce effectiveness, with secure digital networks, devices and tools that transform front-line service delivery Cut out wasteful processes, with technology like machine-to-machine (for example smart metering)

Key points to remember • All bids will be scrutinised by an independent panel of judges • Qualifying bids will go through to a Dragon‟s Den-style final presentation • At the judges‟ discretion, the whole fund may be awarded to one entry • The judges‟ decision is final Awards of up to • £50,000 • £75,000 • £125,000 will be made, or even the full £250,000
