  11. 11. So, what is the simple present exactly?
  12. 12. The functions of simple present <ul><li>Here we tell about our activity every day </li></ul><ul><li>Or </li></ul><ul><li>We tell about facts </li></ul>And what are the roles to express simple present tense?
  13. 13. <ul><li>Whenever the subject is the third person singular (he/she/it), we should add the verb with (s) or (es). </li></ul><ul><li>Eg; </li></ul><ul><li>she + go => she goes </li></ul><ul><li>he + eat => he eats </li></ul><ul><li>it + make => it makes </li></ul><ul><li>Especially for verb (have), when the subject is the third person singular, (have) changes to (has). </li></ul><ul><li>Eg; </li></ul><ul><li>she has breakfast every morning </li></ul>

Negative and Interrogative <ul><li>She goes to school every day </li></ul><ul><li>They play football every Sunday </li></ul><ul><li>Negative: </li></ul><ul><li>she does not go to school every day </li></ul><ul><li>they do not play football every Sunday </li></ul><ul><li>s + do/does + not + verb + complement </li></ul><ul><li>Interrogative: </li></ul><ul><li>does she go to school every day? </li></ul><ul><li>do they play football every Sunday? </li></ul><ul><li>do/does + s + verb + complement + ? </li></ul>
