Roadmap monthly newsletter - July 2011

  1. 1. July 2011Roadmap monthly newsletter In this issue New features Updated versionsEditorial of the Map optionsI t’s no surprise to anyone that the world – and Case study especially Europe – is going through a deep financial Ibervoice – Increasing and economic crisis. Team Management efficiencyAs far as I can remember, it started with the financial crisis What´s new in Frotcom?of 2007-2010, the infamous subprime mortgage crisis. It was Process Optimization to improvethen followed by a recession: bank bailouts, the collapse of financial institutions, Customer Servicewhat have you. It was considered by many economists to be the worst financialcrisis since the Great Depression of the 1930s. And as if that wasn’t enough, This and much more…we’re now facing the European sovereign debt crisis, with all the sacrificesimplied in terms of jobs lost, salary cuts and so forth. In a nutshell, we could allbe doing a lot better. It is deeply rewarding to me to confirm that Frotcom International’s figures for1H2011 show a 28% growth in turnover in comparison to 1H2010. In times likethese, we could not hope for anything more. This is a very significant growth anda confirmation that the company’s strategy was correct:  A state-of-the-art quality product; no compromising with low quality products;  A global team of fanatic professionals, 100% dedicated to Frotcom, in Frotcom International’s headquarters and in Frotcom Certified Partners around the world;  Heavy investment in R&D in order to constantly add new and better features, after listening to customers.Despite of these excellent results, we keep our feet on the ground, for we knowdifficult times are not over in many of the countries where Frotcom is active. But I prefer to think like Sinatra: “If I can make it there, I’ll make it anywhere”.Hopefully, in the end, we’ll all come out stronger.Valério MarquesCEO - Frotcom InternationalA note from the editor – If you would like to have your own say in the next edition of this newsletter please donot hesitate to get in touch at roadmap@frotcom.com.Roadmap Monthly Newsletter | roadmap@frotcom.com | Tel + 351 214 135 670 | Fax +351 214 135 678Frotcom vehicle tracking system | www.frotcom.comAngola |Belgium | Brazil | Bulgaria | Cameroon | Cyprus | D. 4. 4. What’s new in Frotcom? Next, on Roadmap Process optimization to improve News and events, Customer Service more new Frotcom features and tips will be presented. This and more, so don’t miss the next issue of Roadmap.Moving part of the responsibilities from one entity to another sometimesimplies a big opportunity for improving services.Starting June 26, Frotcom offices around the world were enabled to activatenon-basic modules for their clients without any longer being dependent on theFrotcom headquarters support team. This implies that from now on activationsregarding non-basic modules (e.g. Frotcom TV) and specific configuration for thedevices (e.g. activation of NAV configuration or CANBus) can be performedlocally.By making this process more agile, Frotcom is actually optimizing some set ofparameters without putting any constraint to previous operating procedures, onthe contrary, everyone will still be in control of their work. Moreover, this willhelp Frotcom’s customers benefit of a faster and more targeted reply to anyinquiries regarding their fleet management. In other words, all Frotcom officeswill be able to operate in a specific time frame expected by their customers. In a nutshell, both Frotcom team and the customers are engaged in a win-winprocess, where they can experience a more time efficient communication andaccess to information.Roadmap Monthly Newsletter | roadmap@frotcom.com | Tel + 351 214 135 670 | Fax +351 214 135 678Frotcom vehicle tracking system | www.frotcom.comAngola |Belgium | Brazil | Bulgaria | Cameroon | Cyprus | D.
