  3. 3. <ul><li>Roles and Duties of Intramural Team Managers </li></ul><ul><li>Be responsible for your actions and the actions of all your teammates </li></ul><ul><li>Understand all the relevant intramural policies and rules as found in the Intramural Handbook. </li></ul><ul><li>To communicate all these policies and rules to your teammates </li></ul><ul><li>Inform any ejected players that they need to leave the facility and of how they will be reinstated </li></ul>MANAGER'S MEETING
  4. 4. <ul><li>Player Eligibility </li></ul><ul><li>All registered students are eligible to play </li></ul><ul><ul><li>Undergraduate, graduate and law students </li></ul></ul><ul><li>Players may only play on one 1 team per semester </li></ul><ul><ul><li>One team in each sport in each division (1 open and 1 co-rec) </li></ul></ul><ul><li>Club Sport Rules: </li></ul><ul><ul><li>Only three club sport players may be on a single team roster </li></ul></ul><ul><li>Ex-Varsity Athletes: </li></ul><ul><ul><li>must sit out a year and a team can only have one on a team </li></ul></ul>MANAGER'S MEETING
  5. 5. <ul><li>Roster Additions </li></ul><ul><li>All roster additions must be done online by 3:00pm the day of the game </li></ul><ul><ul><li>For weekend games, players must be added by 3:00pm Friday </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>Online form is at </li></ul></ul><ul><li>Drop players online using the player removal form </li></ul><ul><ul><li>You may not drop a player who has already played on your team </li></ul></ul><ul><li>Online rosters: </li></ul><ul><ul><li>Found at </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>List indicates the players on the team and players not eligible for play </li></ul></ul>MANAGER'S MEETING
  6. 6. <ul><li>The Captain’s Rule </li></ul><ul><li>Only the captain my clarify calls with the officials </li></ul><ul><ul><li>If the team has questions or issues, they need to direct them through the Captain to the officials </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>Captain may question rule interpretations but not judgment calls </li></ul></ul><ul><li>Players who are not the Captain who argue or question the officials will receive an unsportsmanlike penalty </li></ul>MANAGER'S MEETING
  7. 7. <ul><li>The Intramural Manager’s Handbook </li></ul><ul><li>Can be found online in the Manager’s Information section of the website </li></ul><ul><li>Manager must know all relevant policies and communicate them to their team </li></ul><ul><li>Especially important are the policies regarding sportsmanship and ejections </li></ul><ul><ul><li>Note that 3 unsportsmanlike penalties will end a contest in forfeit </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>Fighting/taunting or specific violations of the code of conduct will result in a forfeit </li></ul></ul>MANAGER'S MEETING
  8. 8. <ul><li>Jewelry Policy </li></ul><ul><li>Jewelry is not allowed to be worn by any intramural sports participants </li></ul><ul><li>If a player is found to be wearing jewelry during a game they will be assessed an unsportsmanlike penalty </li></ul><ul><li>Exceptions: religious and medical items </li></ul><ul><ul><li>Must be approved by the Director of Spiritual Life and the Intramural Director at least 5 days prior to the scheduled contest. </li></ul></ul>MANAGER'S MEETING
  9. 9. <ul><li>The Regular Season </li></ul><ul><li>Regular season games will not be rescheduled </li></ul><ul><li>Losing By Default: </li></ul><ul><ul><li>If a team can not play and contacts the intramural department to indicate this, they will loose by default </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>Team will not lose the forfeit bond </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>Must be made 24 hours in advance via email </li></ul></ul><ul><li>Playoffs: </li></ul><ul><ul><li>Usually the top two teams of each league will advance to the playoffs </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>If two teams are tied in the standings the following will be used to determine who will advance: </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><ul><li>Sportsmanship </li></ul></ul></ul><ul><ul><ul><li>Forfeited games </li></ul></ul></ul><ul><ul><ul><li>Head to head record </li></ul></ul></ul><ul><ul><ul><li>Point differential </li></ul></ul></ul><ul><ul><ul><li>If there is still a tie, a coin toss will determine the winner </li></ul></ul></ul>MANAGER'S MEETING
  10. 10. <ul><li>Forfeits </li></ul><ul><li>All teams must pay a $20 forfeit bond </li></ul><ul><li>Teams will lose $10 for every forfeit </li></ul><ul><li>2 team forfeits will result in the team being removed from the league and total loss of the forfeit bond </li></ul><ul><li>Unused bonds will be refunded 2-3 weeks after the conclusion of the season </li></ul><ul><li>Game time is forfeit time </li></ul><ul><ul><li>It is recommended that teams show up 15 minutes before game time to avoid a forfeit </li></ul></ul>MANAGER'S MEETING
  11. 11. <ul><li>Intramural Code of Conduct </li></ul><ul><li>3 unsportsmanlike penalties will result in the termination of the game </li></ul><ul><li>Ejected players must leave the facility within five minutes or their team will forfeit </li></ul><ul><li>Players who have been ejected must meet with the Intramural Director or an appointed official before they may participate in further intramural competitions </li></ul>MANAGER'S MEETING
