  2. 2. <ul><li>General Rules </li></ul><ul><li>Minimum of 4 players to avoid a forfeit </li></ul><ul><ul><li>In Co-Rec games at least 1 must be a female </li></ul></ul><ul><li>Best of 3 sets wins the match </li></ul><ul><li>Rally scoring is used </li></ul><ul><ul><li>First 2 games go to 25 </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>Third game, if needed, goes to 15, teams will switch sides after the 8 th point </li></ul></ul><ul><li>Subs can enter on any dead ball </li></ul><ul><li>Each team gets 1 time out per game </li></ul>MANAGER'S MEETING
  3. 3. <ul><li>In and out of bounds </li></ul><ul><li>The track, baskets, banners and any other hanging objects surrounding </li></ul><ul><li>the court are considered out. </li></ul><ul><li>The ceiling is “playable” if, and only if, it lands on your side of the court </li></ul><ul><li>Any contact with or passing outside of the antennas results in a dead ball. </li></ul><ul><li>A ball landing on any line is considered inbounds. </li></ul>MANAGER'S MEETING
  4. 4. <ul><li>Rotation & Serving </li></ul><ul><li>The Rotation </li></ul><ul><ul><li>All players must serve in order </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>Players must be in serve order to receive a serve or during play </li></ul></ul><ul><li>The Serve </li></ul><ul><ul><li>Players may serve both over-hand or under hand </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>Players can open hand receive the serve </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>The serve cannot be blocked or attacked </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>The player serving must be a back row player and cannot attack the ball in front of the attack line </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>If the server’s foot touches or crosses the back end line a point and a side out will be called. </li></ul></ul>MANAGER'S MEETING
  5. 5. <ul><li>Bumping and Tipping the Ball </li></ul><ul><li>Bumping the Ball </li></ul><ul><ul><li>Legal contact consists of a bump or a set </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>Double contact is allowed on the serve and on hard driven balls at the official’s discretion. </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>A team may contact the ball three times to return it </li></ul></ul><ul><li>Tipping the Ball </li></ul><ul><ul><li>Players must use their finger tips and not their palms to play the ball </li></ul></ul>MANAGER'S MEETING
  6. 6. <ul><li>Net Play </li></ul><ul><li>Players may not touch the net during play </li></ul><ul><ul><li>A point and a side out will result </li></ul></ul><ul><li>The hands and feet of the player’s cannot cross the mid court line </li></ul><ul><li>Balls may not be played above the net until it has broken the plane of the </li></ul><ul><li>net. </li></ul><ul><li>A player in the back row may not jump in front of the attack line </li></ul>MANAGER'S MEETING
  7. 7. <ul><li>Unsportsmanlike Conduct </li></ul><ul><li>All jewelry must be removed prior to the beginning of the match. </li></ul><ul><li>Players found with jewelry during the match will cost their team a point </li></ul><ul><li>and a side out. </li></ul><ul><li>Only Captains may clarify calls with the officials. Players that argue calls </li></ul><ul><li>will be issued an unsportsmanlike conduct. </li></ul>MANAGER'S MEETING
