Domestic Policy-New Frontier• Fair Labor Standards Act (1961)-Established a national minimum wage @ $1.25• Social Security Act (1961)-Retirement age for full benefits was lowered to age 62• Housing Act (1961)-Low cost, low interest loans to those that need it. ($5 Billion)• Argument w/ US Steel-JFK agrees to a contract w/ steelworkers, US Steel raises the price of steel, JFK Argued that it wasn’t in our national interest! • Conservative Democrat
