  1. 21. Connections! Evaluation Rubric Student ___________________________________Topic__________________________________ Students should be very careful when choosing their topic. It must be something about which the student really enjoys studying. The student should have a prior base of knowledge concerning the topic, so they won’t be starting from scratch. The connections made from the subject areas to the topic challenge the student to use higher order thinking skills, imagination, and creativity. SOCIAL STUDIES Work Done: Missing...Minimal...Half...Most…Completed The students used the topic to teach a social studies lesson(s) and/or presented an example(s) of related studies associated to the topic itself. 1................2............3.............4……….5 The students created at least one well-designed card for this subject area. (This evaluation will be based on the effective 1................2............3.............4……….5 use of multimedia techniques, not on the number of techniques used.) The students used correct spelling, especially of key words and 1................2............3.............4……….5 ideas, and used complete sentences where appropriate and necessary. The students submitted a planning sheet(s) for this card(s), 1................2............3.............4……….5 which was approved prior to creating it on the computer. The students carried out a sufficient amount of research on their 1................2............3.............4……….5 topic as it relates to this subject area. This includes evidence of rough draft material. Any sources used have been properly cited on the reference card. POINTS EARNED = ____________ LETTER GRADE = ______
