  10. 10. What replaced Rome? <ul><li>At first, nothing. Barbarians. </li></ul><ul><li>Later-Feudalism..a system where one king would develop a private army and give protection to workers in exchange for payment to live on his land. </li></ul>
  11. 11. Christianity <ul><li>Based on the teachings of Jesus of Nazareth </li></ul><ul><li>Constantine becomes emporer and adopts it as official religion in the 300s AD </li></ul><ul><li>Gave people hope for a better future-this was a dangerous time! </li></ul>
