Becoming An Effective Agile Leader

Most of today’s leaders did not “grow up” in Agile development shops. For so many of us, we were raised on waterfall, spent most of our years as a developer in this model, and we now lead a team of developers/testers/etc. in a process that we never worked in. Does that mean we can’t do it effectively and efficiently? Absolutely not! However, it isn’t easy. Many of the tried-and-true techniques your bosses taught you need to be “tweaked” a bit in order to ensure that YOU don’t unknowingly undermine everything you and your team are working towards in trying to be Agile.
