  2. 2. Files <ul><li>Files are some of the most important resources you will use. </li></ul><ul><li>Every document, picture, or sound you work with is a file. </li></ul>
  3. 3. <ul><li>You need to group all your files and to keep track of all your files, you need to group them in a logical way. </li></ul>
  4. 4. <ul><li>In Windows, you do this by creating folders, which store related files. </li></ul>
  5. 5. Folders <ul><li>One folder might store documents you create (such as a memo in Word or a workbook in Excel), while another might store pictures you download from the Internet. </li></ul>
  6. 6. My Documents. <ul><li>This folder is a convenient place to store documents, spreadsheets, and other files you want to access quickly. </li></ul>
  7. 7. Subfolder <ul><li>You can have folders within folders to provide additional levels of organization. </li></ul>
  8. 8. My Pictures. <ul><li>This subfolder of My Documents has special capabilities for handling picture files. </li></ul>
  9. 9. My Music. <ul><li>This subfolder of My Documents has special capabilities for handling music files. </li></ul>
