Apparently, Mr. Fujimoto initially came up with Doraemon in 1969after tripping on his young daughters toy, hearing a neighborhood catfight, and wishing he had a machine to generate a new comic concept.Between the toys shape, the cats yowling, and the longing for amachine to solve his problems, he came up with a robot cat with apocket containing all sorts of problem-solving gadgets.
In December 1969, Doraemon comic titles publishedcontinuously in six childrens monthly magazine. Magazines aremagazines Yoiko, Youchien, Shougaku Ichinensei, ShougakuYonensei, and since 1973 the magazine Shougaku Gonenseiand Shougaku Rokunensei. Stories contained in thesemagazines is different, which means the author of this storyshould be written more than 6 stories each month.
About television seriesAfter a brief and unpopular animated series in 1973 by NipponTelevision, Doraemon remained fairly exclusive in comic fromuntil 1979 when a newly formed animation studio, Shin-EiAnimation (Now owned by TV Asahi) produced an anime seriesof Doraemon. This series became incredibly popular.
Doraemon is a blue robotic cat from the 22nd century, who weighs 129.3kg andmeasures at 129.3cm (43") tall. He is manufactured on September 3rd in theyear 2112, bearing the code MS-903, at the Matsushiba Robot Factory.Doraemon is considered a substandard product because many of his roboticfeatures malfunctioned after production. During his manufacture, he got struckby lightning and lost an important screw that is part of his brain, thus affectinghis performance in both his studies and towards society. His favourite food isdorayaki, a Japanese treat consisting of two pancake-like patties wrappedaround a filling of sweet red bean paste. Doraemons original paint colour wasyellow. He changed colour after getting his ears gnawed off by a robotmouse, which caused him to slip into depression on top of a tower, where hedrank a potion labelled "sadness" and as he wept, the yellow color was washedoff and his voice changed due to the potion. These events are what causedDoraemon to have such a huge fear of mice, despite the fact hes actually arobot cat.
Doraemon also has a fourth-dimensional pocket on his bodyfrom which he can acquire various colourful, awesome andfuturistic gadgets, tools and playthings from a futuredepartment store, mostly each one he acquires in each storyare to help out Nobi Nobita with anything he has trouble within the story. He also has the tendency to panic duringemergencies, characterized by him frantically trying to pull outa very much-needed tool from his pocket, only to produce ahuge assortment of unrelated household items, which arequite irritating at times.
Anywhere Door is one of the Doraemons Gadgets. It is one of the mostpopular gadgets. One needs to say where theyre going, then they canopen the door and go through it to reach their destination. In some mangascenes and in some anime episodes, however, it magically knows wherethe user wants to go. It is limited to places where its informations havealready been entered in the doors program.
In the original storyline to the comic, Doraemon is sent back from 22ndcentury to the present day to aid Nobi Nobita, a highly-unlucky fourth-grader from Nerima in Tokyo, by his great-great-grandson Sewashi. He sentDoraemon to the present day to help out his great-great-grandfather sothat Doraemon will help improve Nobitas circumstances so that hisdescendants, including Sewashi, could enjoy a better future. WhenDoraemon is "off-duty", his sister Dorami sometimes goes back in timefrom 2112 to the present day to visit Nobita.

Sometimes, Nobitas friends steal the deviceand ends in chaos due to incorrect use.
Doraemon co-creator Fujimoto Hiroshi (Fujiko F. Fujio) died on Sept.23, 1996, of liver failure at age 62; he is survived by his wife Masakoand three daughters.
