  2. 2. Short-term Goals <ul><li>Migrate from the use of Windows to OpenSUSE in Open Institute </li></ul><ul><li>Teach all staffs about the necessary needs for their work on OpenSUSE </li></ul><ul><li>Install OpenSUSE </li></ul>
  3. 3. <ul><li>Research what they need to use on OpenSUSE </li></ul><ul><li>Develop training materials </li></ul><ul><li>Training </li></ul><ul><ul><li>I will introduce them about the open source software. Moreover, they will study the basic use of OpenSUSE and other necessary software of open source that they will need for everyday work. </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>In every session, I will give them sometime for playing around on what I taught and do the test. </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>The question will be asked in every sessions. </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>Problem solving will be done in every sessions </li></ul></ul><ul><li>Install OpenSUSE to all computers in Office </li></ul>Instructional Methods and Tasks

Solution to Expected Challenge <ul><li>Provide them slow explanation and more practices </li></ul><ul><li>Take more time to play around with it and give more practices. </li></ul><ul><li>Use other softwares instead or Third-party program. </li></ul><ul><li>Study 1/2 day or only 1 H/day. </li></ul>Challenge Solution <ul><li>They will complain about it (it is too difficult and messy with the new system because it is in Khmer......) </li></ul><ul><li>File system and some structures are different between Windows and OpenSUSE. </li></ul><ul><li>Some work on Windows can not be substituted by OpenSUSE </li></ul><ul><li>Attendance (They may not come to study regularly because where they work and study is in the same place). </li></ul>

  6. 6. Conclusion After this course, we will be use OpenSUSE for their work instead of Windows. Moreover, it is a good way to avoid the use of piracy software in Organization.
