3. Scenario: Alibaba in North Camden
We are part of an 'equity task force' for the city of Camden on
redevelopment issues. Mayor Moran is negotiating with Alibaba
(China's equivalent to Amazon), which wants to make north
Camden its US headquarters. Alibaba is looking at about 50 acres of
property in the area. The available properties are interspersed with
some residential and small businesses. Mayor Moran has asked the
task force to come up with a list of requests to give to Alibaba in his
negotiations. The audience and the panelists are part of the task
force.
