  2. 2. WHAT ARE BIRDS? • Birds are vertebrate animals (having a backbone). • They have two feet. • Birds have feathers and a beak with no teeth.
  3. 3. • They can fly ,stand, walk and run. • Birds are the only animals with feathers. The Penguins and the ostrich are birds that do not fly.

  5. 5. WHERE DO BIRDS LIVE? • We can find birds on every continent.There are appproximately 10.000 different types of birds on earth.
  6. 6. WHAT DO BIRDS EAT? • Birds eat different food: Fruit , plants, fish, seeds,nuts,worms, insects......
  7. 7. How the birds communicate? • They communicate using songs and calls. They can also communicate by using visual signals, such as quickly flapping their wings.
  8. 8. Birds • Birds are oviparous animals that can lay eggs. These eggs are usually laid in a nest and are incubated by the parents.
  9. 9. Fun facts • The Ostrich is the largest bird in the world. They run very fast. • Penguin is the only bird that can swim.
