This open air museum is situated on the route between Irkutsk and Baikal Lake, a few kilometers before you get to the lake
It's absolutely worth the visit and is absolutely no "tourist trap" but an attempt to preserve the old Siberian, Pre-Russian architecture
IIt gives you a picture how people used to live and survive in this wilderness. The old buildings have been saved from different parts of Siberia, some of them were rescued when the water of Angara when it rose due to the built of a hydropower plant
They still have several buildings that haven't been raised yet due to funding problems
