During a week in New York in November 2007, the author enjoyed mild weather for walking around Soho and Chelsea to visit art galleries and exhibitions. Some highlights included watching the end of a Veteran's Day parade, seeing beers from around the world, views of the Brooklyn Bridge from Pier 17, and signs that the Christmas season was approaching.
