9. team Manager / September 7, 1974 / Brasov
He plays the role of „the ruler‟.
Riding since 1990, snowboard and mtb dh, also enduro in the past.
Popo is the one in charge of team‟s management. He travels with the team at contests,
photo shootings and other events burn athletes have to attend. He‟s also the one that
tracks riders‟ performance. He keeps the boys motivated and inspired.
Even if he‟s not riding in competitions anymore, or at least not all the time, Popo has
never stopped riding. He‟s one of the most active and important figures in the
community, an opinion leader.
This year Burn got the chance to organize together with Popo Burn in the Air,
representative bmx & mtb big air contest in Brasov, an event of success even at its first
edition. People got crowdie and international riders joined the competition as well.
With a very strict discipline, Popo is for sure an example of that means having „the good
life‟ ahead. Starting with his trainings routine, nutrition, everyday riding sessions,
travelling, partying, feeding his passion.
All in all, Popo is the Daddy.

10. Snowboard & MTB DH / July, 16 1983 / Miercurea Ciuc
Geza is „the hero‟. The best Romanian snowboarder, also riding in international
events.
• 6 times Romanian National Champion in BoarderX & Big Air.
• 9th place at FIS European Cup Big Air (Kiev, Ukraine, 2008)
• 39th place at FIS World Snowboard Championship (2009)
For Geza slopes full of powder, bigger and bigger kickers, or a sketchy path in the forest are
not battlefields but playgrounds. He declares to have been obtaining all his results only by
doing the things that he most enjoys in life. Geza‟s no. 1 rule: “Respect people and nature”.
He‟s the superstar, the inspiration to all other riders. He‟s the next step of snowboarding in
Romania. He challenges everything and for him this is the key to progression.
In parallel with riding, he started organizing community events together with Burn. He owns
„Ridemore‟ – creator of Ridemore Camps (snowboarding schools held in Romania and
Austria) and Dirt on Fire Competition (at its first edition in 2011 – bmx & mtb international
contest held in Miercurea Ciuc). Still, not having plans of retiring from snowboarding.

11. Snowboard & Skateboard / December 22, 1988 / Miercurea Ciuc
„The explorer‟ of Burn team.
Bobo is a traveler. He travels, that‟s what he does. Today he is in Ciuc, with
the family, tomorrow he might be in Bucharest, in Timisoara, or Sibiu, or Baia
Mare. And probably next week he will be in Dachstein, riding more and more
because he enjoys this kind of life. For Bobo skateboarding and
snowboarding are perfect occasions to meet people and to learn a new
lesson from all of them.
Inside the team, he‟s the big brother. He gives good advices and usually
keeps the other guys pumped for doing „the new stuff‟. Bobo is the source of
fun in everything. Inside the community, Bobo is probably the most popular
figure, just because everybody knows him, and everybody has a story to tell
about him. Life is about worth telling experiences for our rider and that‟s why
he prefers to stay away from trouble. He still has to work on that.
Geza describes him as a man of trust. That‟s for sure.

12. Skateboard / April 7, 1993 / Sibiu
„The Innocent‟ but the energy freak
George is part of the development layer of Burn team. He‟s a rookie but with an
enormous potential of growing. He is very talented and has unlimited resources
of energy. He talks a lot, but he rides on skateboard a lot more.
His mentor is Alin Gavozdea, an oldschool mate of local skateboarding scene.
But George also takes lessons from Uskat or Bobo, and he‟s so glad being their
colleague. Especially when the boys decide to film his tricks, and they keep
filming him for hours.
George is still in high school, and besides skateboarding he goes to school
everyday, with a very strict supervision from his Dad.

13. Snowboard & Enduro / August 15, 1983 / Baia Mare
You can say Tudor is the „regular guy‟.
Very disciplined. He wakes up every day at the same hour, goes to work, then
work-out, then enduro if it‟s summer, or basketball. The key of success in Tudor‟s
case is training and exercise.
Tudor is the definition of laughter, optimism and good mood. Apparently you would
say he‟s the bad boy, with tattoos and high speed riding and all. But those who
know him will definitely declare that Tudor is „the good man‟. Belonging and fitting-
in are his characteristics when comes to Burn team.
Tudor sees snowboarding as the best way to have fun. Sunny weather, just riding
and relaxing. Living the good life.

14. Skateboard / December , 1 1982 / Bucuresti
„The Creator‟
Uskat is on skate since 1997, and for sure he‟s the Father of many young
skateboarders of our local scene. Everybody appreciates Uskat as their favorite
rider. And so he is. Just because nowadays there are plenty of other riders that
struggle to be in the spot light, Uskat prefers to stay in the back and photo
shoot, train, inspire and motivate them. That‟s why he‟s the creator, he goes out
in the skate park every day and then he uploads new creations on the Internet
in the evening, being the main promoter of skateboarding in Romania.
Anyway, Uskat still participates in contests with very good results.
Off topic, Uskat just loves Barcelona.

15. BMX / July, 16 1989 / Baia Mare
Playing the „the entertainer‟.
His passion for bmx is so big, he hardly finds words to describe it.
He dreams about it day and night. But everything comes so
natural to him that it‟s like watching a good show when Barni
goes with the flow on his bike. Always struggling for the big tricks,
he got to win the appreciation of the community in a very short
time. No injure from bmx is going to stop him from achieving the
dream. Having on his side the huge community of Miercurea
Ciuc, they will manage for sure to take bmx to the next level also
in our country.
This year, he won the prize for „best Romanian rider‟ on Dirt on
Fire event. And he has represented Romania at Barcelona
Extreme and Offline Festival (in Budapest). That‟s a huge step for
Romania in the progression of sports.

16. BMX / June, 11 1993 / Sfantul Gheorghe
Tibi or „the magician‟
Tibi Bajka is a time-bomb machine of bmx tricks. You never know when
he comes out with something new and unexpected. Together with
Barni they really work like a team, they ride and train together, they
travel together, and though so different they share the same spirit.
Tibi is also part of the development layer of the team. With big plans for
next year regarding his performance. He always puts a big smile on his
face, always looking calm and concentrated. Like the real pros.
Tibi Bajka is a good example for every rider on how it is to have a real,
authentic passion and to wake up every morning with this thought in
your mind.
