  1. 1. Solid Particles of solids have a strong attraction between each other, are closely packed in an orderly manner and cannot move freely, vibrates and rotates about their fixed positions.
  2. 2. Liquid Particles of liquids have a moderate attraction between each other, are closely packed in a random manner and can move freely, vibrates and slides over one another.
  3. 3. Gas Particles of gas have a weak attraction between each other, are far apart and are free to move rapidly in any direction.
