We consulted on this for a few months, very encouraging We criticised the first draft because it only included communication, not public performance
  8. 8. APRA then announced that they were no longer going to go ahead with the change to their constitution Suggested we go back to our original proposal
  9. 9. Disappointing, but... APRA now appear to unofficially allow member musicians to use CC NonCommercial licenses

Education Working with educators to try to put together a detailed CC package for teachers fact sheets, powerpoints, videos, lesson plans Allow teachers to bring CC into the classroom without us being there ourselves eventually, reduce licence fees paid by schools to CAL Would like to develop this into a broader manual that applies beyond education electronic resources that could be moved through intuitively
  12. 12. Competitions Running a remix competition with the Ideas Festival and ABC Pool in March Might be running a large-scale schools competition with the Learning Federation later in the year
  13. 13. Archives In talks with various archives about a possible partnership to develop an Australian Creative Archive, with material available for reuse. ABC Pool have a ‘tester’ program running already Hoping to get things organised by 2010.
