 Andersonville started as a cherry orchard
in the mid 1800s
 After the great Chicago Fire, wooden
houses were outlawed. Therefore, many
people moved around. Swedish settled in
Andersonville.

 Recently, Andersonville has taken many
steps toward sustainability as a town.

emulate Andersonville’s sustainable
efforts.
