Big Centre TV is a local TV channel for Birmingham, Walsall,
Wolverhamptn, Solihull, and the black country. It is broadcast on
Freeview channel 8 in the UK. It was launched on 28/03/15. its
slogan is ‘’ Local stories with a global reach’’. It is the largest UK
local channel outside London.

Is a voluntary organization started in 1988 and based in the
Midlands. A a TV LTD is a privately held company, non
profitable and voluntary organization in the UK and owned
by Chris Perry, Mike Prince and Gordon Haddock. It is the
parent company of Big Centre TV.
4. Tranmission details/ License
Permit
It is transmitted from Suttoncold field and Briely Hill antenna to an
estimated audience of 2.3 viewers on Freeview. Ofcom gave
Kaleidoscope the license on condition that.
The channel was launched before the end of February. At least 23
hrs of local programming will be in peak time. Ensures that it
provides an initial 41 hrs of local programming a week and
increases to 55 hrs per week in the 2nd year and 68 in the third
year and new bulletins must be live with as many

approximately 2 million people.
6. Scheduling
6am morning through to midnight show certain times of things at
specific times. Teleshopping is on everyday from 12 am to 6 am. It
has a 90 min breakfast show called Cuppa TV. It run’s 40 hrs of
repeat programming a week like Crossroads and news broadcast at
12pm, 6pm and 10pm.

Kaliedoscope’s TV achieves gives it access to children’s
programmes such as Ivor the Engine and there will be
reruns of Midlands soap Crossroads five days a week. The
station’s commitments include 41 hours of new local
programmes a week. There will be an hour of news at
midday and half an hour at 17.30 and 21.30 – produced by
six video journalists in their early to mid 20’s. Land Rovers
Live features enthusiasts showing off their vehicles. DJ
David Hamilton will present at a chat show with show
business people. Local boxing, darts. Ice hockey and bowls
will be shown.
