New arrivals from SXSW

As South by Southwest comes to a close, we’re seeing a record-breaking number of presentations uploaded to SlideShare from the event. There are so many that we’ve dedicated both spotlights on our home page to SXSW 2012.

What did we notice in the sessions and keynotes this year? There was a greater use of storytelling with personal anecdotes, as in Baratunde Thurston's opening keynote. We also picked up on the increased use of embedded video within slideshows. You can view this year’s presentations, as well as past years' on our SXSW network.

If you’d like to get an idea of the sights and sounds of SXSW Interactive, take a few minutes to look at David Crandall’s photos and Twitter quotes.

Variety is the spice of life in Austin

Sharing presentations

When it comes to variety, SXSW can’t be beat. Everything from Fixing Government Through Games, a discussion about change in Improv for an Unpredictable World or maybe your business is wondering How to Get Consumers Addicted to Your Content. There are presentations about using technology for good, such as Random Hacks of Kindness (RHoK) and a new perspective on entertaining with My Robotic Kitchen Planned This Dinner Party. Keep checking our SXSW network, presentations are still coming in.

Interactive Startup Village and Lean Startup Day were new to SXSW this year. Leaders from highly successful startups such as Airbnb, WealthFront, and TaskRabbit shared insights with attendees. You can find more presentations from Lean Startup Day SXSW on the 500 Startups channel.
