What will it help with? • Developing your literature search and review: • Finding good quality information, using a RANGE of sources. • Evaluating the information you find: you will expected to critically appraise the literature and justify the sources you use. • Keeping up to date: your research will span a number of months, and you will need to keep track of your research field for developments and updates. • Planning your time: you will need to have an initial search plan, as well as an ongoing one, so you can insert your plan into your overall timeline for your research. • Managing your information well • References: keeping track of them throughout your research and creating a bibliography which is accurate. • Other assignments and future employability • Transferable skills: these finding and managing information skills can be applied to not only other modules and assignments this year, but also into further study and the workplace.
