But how do they generate real return on investment, and how quick is the payback? NetBase used TechValidate, a customer reference tool, to survey our customer base and capture real-world ROI data. 53 respondents from 36 companies, whose identities were confirmed by TechValidate, provided information about how they use NetBase and the value they have achieved. Customers assessed the time that NetBase has saved them in a number of marketing activities, compared to traditional methods; they also reported on overall revenue increases, operational cost savings, and ROI. This report includes select case studies from the customers who participated in the study. Looking at their responses in aggregate, we found that: • Of 14 customers who reported on their time to ROI, 43% achieved positive ROI in less than six months and 79% achieved positive ROI in less than one year. • Brand analysis, campaign and issue tracking, category analysis, and new product launches are the most widely cited NetBase use cases. The average customer addresses 3.67 use cases with NetBase. • More than half of respondents report that NetBase has delivered time savings of 25% or more in campaign tracking, issue tracking, competitive analysis, and market research.
