  3. 3. WHAT IS DAW? A digital audio workstation (D.A.W.) is an electronic device or computer software application for recording, editing and producing audio files
  4. 4. DAW TYPES INTEGRATED DAW An integrated DAW consists of a mixing console, control surface, audio converter, and data storage in one device.
  5. 5. DAW TYPES SOFTWARE DAW Complex of computer software including audio editor and additional modules of sound processing (plug-ins).
  6. 6. STANDARD SOFTWARE DAW LAYOUT • Transport controls (play, stop, pause, record, etc.) • Mixer • Track controls • Waveform display and/or other analyzers
