Rousseau

  1. 1. TheThe EnlightenmentEnlightenment Jean-Jacques Rousseau
  2. 2. I was born in Geneva (Switzerland) on 28th June 1712. I am a writer, philosopher and musician. I am defined as an erudite. I haven’t got a mother so, when I was little, the baroness of Warens took care me and thanks to her, I became Catholic but my family was Calvinist. In 1745, I contacted with my friends Voltaire, D’Alambert, Remeau and Diderot. This is me, Jean-Jacques Rousseau
  3. 3. When I was 33 years old, I wrote my most important work. In this moment, I started to be famous. The publication of “Emilio, or of the education” and “The Social contract” made me unpopular and I was exiled from France and I went to Switzerland. With 55 years old, I went back to France but now, as I am very intelligent, I have changed my name.
  4. 4. Let’s talk about my work. My most important work is “The social Contract”. In this work, I thought that I needed to survive from the rest. Behold the reason the contract. However, I argue that this first contract was wrong and I had to create a new (a social new). I believe that the main cause of social inequality is private property.
  5. 5. I think that the "parliamentary monarchy" proposed by my friends isn’t the best kind of government. The idea is based on who should govern everyone directly by the vote.
  6. 6. Of course I dream in a world without social differences. We are different and any philosophy is going to change. You can change the laws to make a society more fair and less corrupt, and it may be judged by the law without influence skin, economic status, religion, beliefs, things that affect the dignity of man, but not justify the dictatorship to impose something that is confirm, it can’t happen. That’s all. Loves, Rousseau
